Hence Healthworks medical centre is a group practice with three full time Doctors, one part time Doctor, a full time Practice Manager, two Registered Nurses and 5 fully trained receptions staff. Three of the Doctors at the practice are Fellows of the Royal Australia College of General Practitioners, Dr Richard Hadkins, Dr Una Kennedy and Dr Romano DeNardo.

Healthworks Healthcare is an accredited training practice although there are no registrar positions filled at this time. Healthworks Healthcare also has general accreditation.

In normal circumstances two weeks orientation are provided for new Practitioners. During the supervised period Doctors work alongside one of the Fellows who will also assist them.

Any new Doctors joining the clinic would work between 6 and 10 sessions per week and would eventually be expected to join the rostered on call arrangements according to the number of session worked each week.

There would be a GP present at all times the clinic is open Monday to Friday if appropriate.

Dr Richard Hadkins would be the main supervisor/mentor and would provide orientation to Bendigo and Australian General Practice. This would be in the form of teaching sessions and ongoing daily support. The local Division provides training for FRACGP exams.

Dr Hadkins would provide the level of supervision as required by the Medical Board of Victoria and stated in the guidelines obtained from the Division of General Practice (Central Victoria). This would require him to take direct and principal responsibility for individual patients during the orientation program.
