- The Adolescent Inpatient Unit at Shellharbour Hospital is due to open in March 2011.
- It is a 6-bed acute mental health inpatient unit for adolescents aged 12-17years old with complex mental health issues who require a multidisciplinary approach in a safe, developmentally appropriate and therapeutic environment.
- The unit is located on the Shellharbour Hospital site close to the adult mental health service and the Adolescent Day Programme.
- We are looking to recruit child and adolescent mental health nurses, general nurses with paediatric experience and an interest/qualification in child and adolescent mental health as well as adult mental health nurses interested in child and adolescent mental health nursing.
- The Mental Health Service has a strong emphasis on supporting professional development through education and learning opportunities.

(After one year you can settle permanently into your preferred setting)
If you do not wish to do this Mental Health rotation program you can just be placed into a permanent position.
