HealthStaff Recruitment in conjunction with our US partner Cirrus Allied,one of the oldest providers of therapists in the US  offer permanent positions and travel assignments in Hospitals and Aged Care Centres across the USA.

There are plenty of opportunities to work in most States from Florida to Idaho, from Virginia to Texas and from Washington to Ohio

How do you qualify for this unique program?

1. You should hold an undergraduate Physiotherapy degree from an Australian University that is not less than 4 years in length
   
2. We require a 24 month commitment to work in the USA. In some cases we accept a 12 month commitment
   
3. As you will be employed by our American partner your CV will be reviewed by Cirrus Allied and if deemed suitable you will have a phone interview with one of their Chief Clinical officers
   
4. After your successful interview you will be offered an employment contract. When you accept the terms and conditions we prepare you for the next step
   
5. All Australian trained Physiotherapists must apply for an FCCPT Type 1 certificate
   ( click here for an example) and then sit for the National Physical Therapy Examinations (NPTE) in the USA. You must pass this exam in order to be licensed as a Physiotherapist and work in the USA
   
6. HealthStaff Recruitment will assist you  with the preparation of your FCCPT application and help you prepare for the NPTE. We will fly you to Honolulu, Hawaii to sit the exam. The FCCPT process can take about 3 months and the NPTE process can take about 2 months.
   
7. Once you pass the NPTE, we will arrange for an interview with your hospital worksite and then arrange for your work visa.  Australian citizens are eligible for an E-3 visa, this allows you and your spouse (not de-facto) to enter the USA and work for the employer that has provided the visa.  The visa application can take up to 2-3 months
   
8. Pack your bags and be ready to commence at your new employer in the USA!
