GP Jobs Tasmania

An island south of the Australian mainland, the state of Tasmania is known as the Apple Isle. Tasmania typically enjoys a cooler climate than mainland Australia, which is enjoyed by its inhabitants and also makes Tasmania an ideal producer of food and wine. Apart from the vineyards, people are attracted to the beauty of the landscape and unique flora and fauna.

Being separate from the mainland doesn’t impact on travel due to flight and ferry connections, but there exists a sense of community and slower pace of life. Short commuting distances allow for more time spent with family. Those who live and work in Tasmania also talk about the clean air and family-friendly lifestyle. An ageing workforce is providing opportunities in many industries in Tasmania, including healthcare.
