We are seeking to fill the above posts at Gisborne Hospital. Candidates must either hold a current NZ Medical Council Registration and Vocational Registration or be eligible to obtain temporary registration and approval from the New Zealand Medical Council to practice in their specialty.

Gisborne Hospital, commissioned in 1986, is modern, spacious and attractive. A modern and well equipped operating suite, PACU and comprehensive ICU/CCU are supported by a full range of diagnostic facilities including a helical CT scanner, echocardiography and 24 hour on-site laboratory facilities. The successful applicant will enjoy the opportunity to practice in a stimulating non-metropolitan hospital environment.

Gisborne's location and climate set the city and the region apart. Gisborne is situated on the East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand. The region has a population of approximately 46,000 and is well known for its relaxed lifestyle and its beautiful rural and beach environments. • Paediatrician
• Urologist - has to be able to get vocational registration
• Orthopaedic Surgeon

• Psychiatrists: Adult predominately, Psycho-Geriatrician and a Clinical Director for Mental Health
• General Surgeon - permanent position, from mid 2008
• General Physician - preferably with a sub-speciality in respiratory medicine
• Anaesthetists
