• Ability to work a rotating roster

Our client has two positions for Clinical Nurse Consultant – Drug and Alcohol

We are seeking to recruit for one full time position and one part time position (50%).

The hospital is based in West Sydney, close to the Blue Mountains.

This opening is for an enthusiastic applicant to join our professional team in an expanding and dynamic Drug and Alcohol service. This new position will be based within Nepean Hospital and will provide a specialised consultation and liaison role for patients within the Emergency Department Nepean Hospital, and support current consultation services throughout the facility, stakeholders and partner organisations. There is a focus on delivering evidence based clinical interventions within
best practice models of care to achieve good clinical outcomes for patients. The position will be expected to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis.

The Clinical Nurse Consultant  has responsibility for the provision of expert clinical advice to, patients/clients, carers and other health care professionals on complex Drug and Alcohol issues and care needs within the Hospital and the Local Health District  Drug and Alcohol Service

Essencial requirements:

  1. Eligible for regsitration with AHPRA
  2. Minimum five years full time equivalent post qualification experience, with at least
    three years full time equivalent experience in Drug and Alcohol and post graduate
