Tip of the month New Zealand Interviews
In the first week of February 2002, our specialist consultants will conduct interviews and information sessions about Nursing in Australia. Interviews will be held in Auckland, Wellington, Palmerston North, Dunedin and Christchurch. Call us now to express your interest.

HOORAY IT’S CHRISTMAS
Renewal of Registration
In Australia, State Nurses Boards require Registered Nurses to renew their registration on an annual basis. In New Zealand, registration should be renewed annually before 31st March. Now is the time to make sure that the nurses board has your correct address, so that they can send you reminder notices, and any other news.

Your employer may ask to see your registration documents as a start to the New Year. Make sure your registration is up to date. If it needs renewal, renew it! If your registration expires you will be practising illegally, and will not be allowed to work. At the same time, make sure you don’t let your registration in your home country expire. It is time consuming and costly to re-register if you let your registration lapse, and plan to work when you go home.

Practice Safely! Stay Registered!

WIN a lonely planet guide
We have recently had ‘get togethers’ for all our staff working in the major cities or about to embark on a trip overseas – they were very successful and we would like to thank everyone who attended and hope that you enjoyed yourselves! There will be more parties in the new year – watch this space! We hope everyone who received a Lonely Planet guide is getting the best out of it! If you didn’t receive one this time, let us know and at the next party you could be lucky…

JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Social Workers/Residential Care Workers

Opportunities in Ireland We are undertaking our next round of interviews in February 2002. We will have a representative from Ireland interviewing potential candidates for wonderful opportunities in Child Protection, Fostering and Adoption in Ireland. Please call us to register your interest!

Meet & Greet Service
In all city centres including Brisbane, Sydney and Darwin, HealthStaff Recruitment will arrange taxi pick ups for candidates on their arrival.

In Perth and Melbourne, we provide a personalised meet and greet service. Kim, Sue and Fiona are available to meet you at the airport, take you to your booked accommodation and be contactable for the following days after arrival. They will help if needed, to open a bank account, apply for a tax number, find accommodation or simply be available to meet for a coffee and discuss initial experiences.

With many of our consultants having already experienced leaving home and working in another country or around Australia/New Zealand, we can relate to the challenges in store. Based on our own experiences and outcomes we encourage you to face these challenges optimistically as the professional and personal benefits reaped will be many!

Emma Earl at Sir Charles
"Moving to Australia was probably the hardest decision of my life, having to leave family, friends and the life I knew to move to the other side of the world. My first four weeks in Australia continued to be extremely difficult, but with determination and support it has now turned into the best decision I have made. Working and living in Australia has been a dream come true, a dream that would not of been possible without Healthstaff Recruitment.Their continuous support and reassurance has been with me the whole step of the way, from the first time I rang up to the day I flew out. Their support and encouragement has allowed me to fulfill a dream which would of ended upalways being a maybe". Emma Earl, RN, Sir Charles, Perth
